Beginners' Chalk Pastel Workshop
What to Expect
-
You will need to be confident in your drawing skills going into this workshop. If you need help there, sign up for my Beginners Drawing Workshop. You'll be drawing confidently in no time at all!
-
During this workshop you'll learn about Stabilo CarbOthello chalk-pastel pencils: how to care for them, how to mix them, using a stump, some of the specific qualities of the various colours.
-
We will do some simple exercises to get to know the pencils and the paper.
-
Sometime after lunch, you will be offered dozens of high-quality photos to use as reference for your final painting.
-
Everyone works at their own pace.
-
The workshop runs from 10 a.m. through to 4 p.m. with one hour off for lunch.
-
Bring your own lunch; you are welcome to eat it in the studio. Alternatively, you could take the hour to check out a local restaurant.
