Beginners Watercolour Workshop
What To Expect
This beginners watercolour workshop is designed to introduce you to using watercolours without purchasing a lot of supplies. Good quality art supplies make all the difference in watercolour painting. I will supply Winsor & Newton Professional watercolour paints and Arches 140 lb. paper. These are the paints and paper that I use. It does make a difference. I will also supply quality brushes for you to work with.
-
Start the class by picking up a brush and learning techniques like wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brush, lifting out, spattering, washes, graduated washes, hard edges, soft edges and more.
-
Next, you will learn to mix colours. You'll make your own secondary colours: greens, purples, oranges and most mysterious of all, you will make black!

After you've practised techniques and colour mixing, you will have a chance to paint your own picture. Quality reference photos will be supplied.
-
Students work at their own pace.
