Simple Wet on Wet in Watercolours

Watercolour classes at The Painted Tree in beautiful downtown Cobourg are beginning again this week for me. Wednesday evening I'll probably have some new artists along with people who have been with me for months or years. I find that the most difficult watercolour technique for most artists is the wet-on-wet one.

This year, I am going to take the drawing part out of the exercise. We'll trace around a dried maple leaf. It's a beautiful shape on its own. Then, we'll experiment and have fun painting the leaves using that technique. Repetition is a good thing!

My next drawing workshop will be on Saturday, October 6.
